In the games, he's always wearing dark, but Gen 4/5 he started wearing trench coat with hat [link]
The anime had him depicted in an ugly orange suit for a while, now he's more military leader styled attire, which is also black: [link]

Well since the stream I've been watching you and I pretty much just logged on to look for... uh... well... lyra pics because I wanted to see if there was a good vector of her in a hat and I saw a notice and bam it was the request. I just about died with joy. The only issue I have is that I wish Lyra was about %50 bigger, or did at first but after looking at it several times I love that she's smaller now. Thank you so much, I pretty much saw this.

Huh. Lucky break there then . Aye, I always imagined ponies being about a head shorter than your average human if standing on hind legs. Also I felt like making the fellow here pretty tall. Don't know if the one in your story is tall though ^^'. I read the first chapter, seemed pretty interesting, bookmarked it for future.

Thank you. He's just under six feet but it really kinda sets the tone of the story and his looming presence. Lyra's his main connection to the pony world but she's also kind of between it and his world.
