aye, i faved some from your friend *Socratim you've a lot of other very interesting pieces in your gallery of course, in particular awesome mixed media experiments!

i haven't had the chance to check out how the photoshop action works yet but when i do figure it out i'll be sure to remember it's your technique - i plan on writing code to implement it in my renders

danke auch fΓΌr den link. wirklich interessant. hatte auch irgendwo gelesen, dass das mit den stickern nur halbso schlimm ist, weil keine sachbeschΓ€digung sondern "nur" ordungswidrigkeit.

I don't know what it is ... but theres something hypnotic about it, and something awful. (in a good way)

It looks like a forest thats gone through a nuclear war or something like that, totally burnt and ruined and just, destroyed.

Quite harrowing. Its affecting, i really love the image, you've done a brilliant job

Don't know why exactly (tried to figure it out) but both of these images feel Asian, like the brushwork of a Chinese artist. Wonderful images and manipulation.

rawimage In reply to myrnajacobs [2006-07-05 07:54:37 +0000 UTC]

Thank youu!
Hmmm, maybe it's because of my red chinese style signature stamp. saw that on chinese (?) paintings and thought: "I like that!" :]

This would make a great print, ever thought of doing an edition of this on Rag paper?

rawimage In reply to coldcanvas [2006-06-29 06:55:09 +0000 UTC]

hm, rag paper - my dictionary says in german it's called Reinhadernpapier or Recyclingpapier, but I don't know what "Hadern" is. Is it some kind of rough deckle edged paper? Actually I did a gel medium transfer on a piece of unbleached cotton.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

coldcanvas In reply to rawimage [2006-07-02 12:22:57 +0000 UTC]

It's paper but made of material so it doesn't
break down like other cheaper papers,
it has a nice soft quality.
Hope this helps?

That reminds me to resubmit the file to the print service. for some reason it has been rejected at approval

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

zzzzra In reply to rawimage [2006-06-29 11:53:43 +0000 UTC]

Well I think the print submit system is a bit erratic hehe. I sometime have to resubmit again and again the same image until it's accepted

rawimage In reply to zzzzra [2006-06-29 13:42:42 +0000 UTC]

TRUE
do you submit them via ftp (binary!!!)? Works tenthousand times better.
The admin claimed the error occured because it was a progessive JPG

Yes i always use a FTP in binary mode. Maybe it's my own connection... But this time my images finally got accepted so that's cool
