Ik hou van je artistieke werken, wou dat ik wist dat je in het echte leven.
Ik kon met je praten over de technieken voor uren.

Wow--very cool effect...and I must say, your choice of image for this effect was perfect! Strong, minimalist composition...hmmm...I think I've got to give this a try, myself... Bravo!!!

Thank you. I saw these poles suddently staying there on the field beside the road I drive everyday to work. A few days later they were gone again. Very strange...
Aceton is fun - the gases ain't! Be sure to do this in a ventilated place or you will feel the effect of a pretty bad high!

Yikes!!! Good thing you told me!!! I'll be sure to make sure everything's well-ventilated before trying it out!

fancy!
superior deterioration effect...
makes me think it was created in 1260
or some year equally as old but probably more believable

how do you did it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rawimage In reply to kaimiirah [2006-02-02 13:26:35 +0000 UTC]

I printed the photo on a laser printer (a copy machine would also work)
then I placed the print face down on a cardboard and rubbed the back of the print with a acetone soaked tissue.
by doing so the toner is immediately dissolved by the acetone and transfered to the cardboard - more or less.
..of course you could achieve this effect with photoshop, but it's less fun
