Watercolor Pencils

This is an entry for a contest at Pokedorks. You draw your team with no evolved pokemon.

Right before school let out I found the group poke_thon on LiveJournal. The challenge presented was to draw all the pokemon of a region in order, which is actually much harder than it sounds. Instead of just posting pictures I tried to create a little story as I went along. It also really changed my opinion of some pokemon as I was drawing. I started a little blog about it at [link]

The biggest problem was Pichu, who is not a kanto pokemon, and I eventually want a raichu on my little team. So I borrowed a bit from Pokemon manga and captured two very familiar pikachu so I could have pichu.

The team is :
Iris (Eevee) she was my "starter" and has a Shiny stone amulet.
Fern (Bulbasaur) has a sunny personality.
Cherie (Caterpie) is a little uncoordinated, but good friends with Fern.
Rain (Pichu) the daughter of two pikachu caught in a storm. She is very elegant.

Right now the current members of the team are being introduced to a brand new member. Rain looks a little sad because this pokemon is replacing two pikachu that are going on a long journey.
