I was inspired...and how can you not with a copy of My neighbour Totoro and Nausicaa DVD's sitting on your shelf?My mum always notes that Miyazaki likes his monsters to be the most gloopy, rotting and stomach turning, and in some cases this is true. but then you have the fluffy Totoro or the downright adorable Kodama, not all his monsters are scary
I wonder if anyone can guess the names of all the beasts featured in this pic? There are 15 different species in all (not including the Sootspreaders/dustmites).
Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind (3)

Kiki's Delivery Service (1)
Princess Mononoke (3)
Spirited Away (2)
Howls Moving Castle (2)
Note: the Sootspreaders/Dustmites have not been included because they appear in more than one film
Why isn't this coloured? Because I was hoping that , my fellow Miyazaki boffin, will be able to colour it for me

The composition of all the different creatures is great! I absolutely adore Miyazaki's films! My favourites being Nausicaa, Laputa, and My Neighbour Totoro, but Kiki and Spirited Away are also really high on my list, so I guess they would be my top 5!
I am pretty sure I can name all of the species, or at least their names. I hope you don't mind me making a little list of them;

Hein, I don't know how to spell his name but he's Solomon's dog from Howl's Moving Castle
aaaannnnddd. Those Tree spirits, I forget exactly what they are called but they are from Princess Mononoke! I remember them!
Anyway, sorry again for the random list XD I just had to. Now I must check out the coloured version! I bet it looks awesome! Keep up the great work!

I've noticed that too! I just really adore the story and the overall art and design of Nausicaa. It's just so awesome. Definitely on my top favourites when it comes to Miyazaki.
