Meant to post this earlier as it was an entry for Sceptrember! At my workplace we all took on Sceptrember prompt to draw a witch or wizard, and my prompt was 'speed'
So here is a sweet witch and her familiar going for a sedate trek after a rain storm. I just really really wanted to draw a witch with big seedpods in her hat that look like googly eyes ^-^

It's not everyday snails are put into an artpiece, wich I think is wierd considering they have both interesting shapes and sometimes even colors.
Great concept as most elderly are slow and prone to keep odd pets. Altough, now I wonder how she would've been like in her younger years...?

You're right they do! In fact one of my favourite pieces of classic art is Matisse's 'The Snail' ^_^ Snails deserve more artistic representation for their natural beauty.
Hmmm, i wonder if she always loved Snails or came to appreciate them as she grew older? I imagined the shell on her hat was from a former snail friend who had passed. The little guy on the lead is younger and full of energy ;D

Yeah, her patience must be her strongest trait. I also suppose her options (if she makes those) is made with rare, high quality herbs as she can take her time harvesting during her walks with her pet snails.
