I decided last night to look at ~shadee 's pic of me as an anthro, which I auto-fixed on my comp's Microsoft picture It! 9.Then i was inspired to trace over it (yeah, like I havent done that before!), but then it dawned on me that he didnt have any glasses (like moi) or some big pupils (also like moi). So I added those, and then changed the shirt to my favorite shirt: My black West Coast Choppers!
Now if I could add the hat...
And finally, i decided to try my hand at chibi. I realized that chibi is basically a big headed smiley-face attached to a stick figure body, LOL. So I tried it out, and it came out pretty good, to my surprise.
So basically I killed two birds with one stone, LOL.

Actually I like yours, I wish the bigger version of this pic could be just as good, because I dont know if Im really good at drawing legs, or hands, or feet. So yours is really tight, I need to use yours as a model for a full-body version of meh fursona, if that's ok with you of course!

You do? thanx, this was my first time trying my hand at chibis, and it worked out rather well. All I needed to do was remember the MANY, MANY chibis Ive seen done (examples: :nsmoh2006:, that "Good Cheese" webcomic, ".hack" manga), and I suddenly realized that chibis are basically simplistic big-headed smileys with small (pencilstick, even) bodies, and anime-ized, LOL.
And voila! the inspiration materialized on paper (i still wish it was better).

Good job - and so's you know the best artists always got their start copying/tracing anyway. And of course y'had some nice work to start with (nudges shadee) so you're definitely on the right track...

Hey, that's the same thing *Strype told me; he first learned how to draw by tracing and stuff. and of course, he has some tight-ass art.
in fact, all i did was trace the autofixed (microsoft picture it! 9) version of ~shadee 's piccie on my desktop screen, and added my own changes, like the glasses (since i wear them, dammit im so nearsighted that im blind as a bat!), the big brown eyes (another reason why i do not look like my mom AT ALL; i didnt have any brown, so dont ask about the color, lol), and the west coast choppers shirt (now i think i shouldve cut the sleeves a bit in this pic to make it a tshirt).

Hey, I have so many ideas at the moment, so hells yeah im gonna do some tighter art!
all i did with your pic was trace it and personalize it to a great degree. i actually found doing it to be a blast, so ill use this as an example for any future art i will work on.
