Beautiful colors too, I love the texture...are you using plain Watercolors or liquid watercolors?

Thanks! It's mostly liquid ones, mixed with the really old "dry" ones back from primary school. The texture comes from sprinkling some rough salt on the wet colours, but I guess the paper also did it's part (it's Bristol Paper from Canson, in case you're wondering (; ).

I love liquid watercolors, they are so vivid! I've never painted on Bristol Paper, would you recommend it over actual watercolor paper? What's the difference?

Mh... That's somewhat hard to answer. I didn't try out many watercolour papers, much less those of higher quality. The one I had was one with a strong texture and a greyish tone. It was alright, but nothing I'd like to get again.
As for Bristol, I personally love working with it. It has a really smooth surface. There won't be any unwished for textures from the paper itself, and since it's bright white, the colours come out quite clear and bright. And if you don't feel like using watercolours, it's also great for pencil drawings and markers, since the coating won't make them bleed like on normal ones (which makes it a good choice for printing as well). There are also different grammatures, so for less waves from the water you can simply use a stronger one.
This year I want to try out some different papers and materials on it. If you like, I could tell you about the experiences. And of course, in case you're trying out some stuff, I would love to hear about it as well? :3

Mmhhh I really should try the Briatol paper...I'm not super fond of texture when it comes to watercolor paper so that's why I buy hot presses paper (wait, I think it's hot pressed paper, I always get it wrong and confuse it with cold pressed paper 😅) but yeah, I buy the smoothest one but even that one had a tiny little bit of texture so Bristol paper sounds great; the only problem is that right now I have a zillion watercolor and markers pads because I'm always wanting to try out new brands so I should not buy another one, buuuuuuuut I know myself and I'm sure next time I go to the art store I'll buy a pad of Bristol paper, lol.
Yeah, I would LOVE to hear from your art supplies experiences and adventures and give you some input about the materials I'm using, that would be so interesting.
For example, I just made a little Moana portrait using cheap art supplies (for the cheap art supplies youtube challenge) and I was kinda disappointed: the 5 dollar watercolor set was super chalky and not nice to work with (I know, it was only 5 dollars) but I was expecting better from the Canson paper pad I was working on because, even if it was inexpensive, Canson is a well-known brand and I thought it would at least be OK 😑....
So yeah, those were my two cents about my latest experience.

Awesome, I'm glad to have someone to share experiences with ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ♥
I totally get you. Those textures kinda force things into your watercolour-pictures that you don't want to have there. It really is hard to find the right supplies. Especially if you try to find some you can actually afford <.< Which is the paper you came to like the most so far?
Well, maybe even the very best paper can't make horrible colours any better XD But I really like your colour palette on that picture. Bristol is also a Canson paper though. At my art-store you can get a A3-pad with 50 sheets for about 15€, which I think is a fine price. Just give it a try, hopefully it makes you happier :3

Vielen Dank ♥
