This is really great! I like a lot the music he made with Nirvana and I think he was a beautiful person, such an intresting mind.. His eyes tell much about it, you're right. And I can see you know it, you captured his look very well! Sorry for my bad interpretation, my english is not so good as I wish.

Thank you so much!! Yeah, whenever I've seen pictures of Kurt, his eyes always stood out for me. I find that's the case with most people and portraits that I've drawn. The longer you stare into someone's eyes, you start to really "see" more of that person. There's always something lying underneath the surface.

Kurt and Nirvana were really the voice of a generation. Unfortunately, I didn't fully understand it until after he died. Their songs are still powerful even today. If you haven't heard it, I recommend listening their Unplugged from NY album. One of my favorite albums of all time.

I know that album, it's amazing even if a little different from their usual sound Well, I was born one year after his death so it's really hard for me to understand his story and everyting..

I can see how that might be hard. Yeah, at a time when the hair bands of the 80's were so extravagant, Nirvana became the face of a different sound. Kind of showing that music doesn't have to be a big production and stage show. Thanks again for your comment!

I love his music so much, and this really is a perfect tribute!

I fell in love with his shaggy hair when I first saw him, and the way you drew and shaded the hair reminded me of that same feeling all over again. The lips and the nose are really well done, and his eyes. His eyes! They really got some soul in them that many other portrait artists wasn't able to execute. I really like how you put so much detail into the facial details rather than other elements (which are still exceptional, by the way), and I'm still looking out for more of your protraits!!

Yeah, I tend to put so much effort into capturing the look and feel of the real person, that by the time I finish the facial elements, I start to lose patience with other parts of the drawing, haha.

I'm really happy you commented on his eyes, as they're my favorite part of the drawing. In many photos of Kurt, there's just so much emotion in his eyes, and I was just hoping to capture some of it!

I don't know if you've ever heard the "Unplugged from NY" album by Nirvana, it's one of my favorites of all time. Definitely worth checking out if you like his music.

I'm not into all of Nirvana's recordings, but if I could recommend one album to listen to, check out their MTV's Unplugged from NY. It's not quite their normal sound, but definitely one of my favorite albums of all time.

I think exactly the same. I'm not any good at drawing, but I always see that, of people who draw him, just a few can capture that special thing that Kurt's eyes had.
