Description Yesterday afternoon I got into the darkroom for a couple of hours.  The first print was used #2 filter and was perfectly square.  This print used #3 filter and is a little wonky.  I am not sure it might benefit by going up to a #3.5 or #4 filter.  Here is scan of negative I posted back in June 2014.

Seems the negative is flipped.

Both versions are "right". It depends on what you prefer; more visual impact with higher contrast, or a fuller tonal range. The roses are slightly blown (no pun intended!) on the scanned version; perhaps a scanner brightness adjustment would bring them closer together, as the information is plainly on the neg

Thanks.  I find working in the darkroom to be a series of experiments until I give up and move on, or, decide something is as good as I can get it.

Contrast feels about right. You got much better range out of the print than you did with the scan.
