This series of shots has really hit the spot for me, Bob, particularly in terms of tonal variations. By chance, I've been reading about some Renaissance art and the answer to a question I've long had popped up. Why I wondered did painters and sculptors always like to show their subjects wearing long robes with lots of drapes and folds. I thought that they did this because that was the type of garment worn in ancient times - the Roman toga for example. But, there was a second, important, reason. Such drapery allowed painters and sculptors to show off their mastery of light and shade!! So, it is with these photographs, your mastery of light and shade through exposures and processing comes to the fore.
