*edit*I have reworked this photo and decided to post it in color. It breaks the series, but makes this photo invidually stronger.

This was an assignment for school: "Packed body in a landscape". Originally based on Irvin Penn his work -> [link] and the more famous photo [link]
I must agree with Christo, covering things makes them more interesting... It's evoking mystery and so much questions.
Shot close to where I live on a cold morning.

Hi there,
I've looked at this image, then gone away and came back to look at it again four or five times now, thinking about what to say, because it draws a strong reaction from me.
As a long-term sufferer of depression for most of my adult life, I really identify strongly with this image, much more so than many others I've seen.
The isolation and darkness of the figure standing alone, the coldness of the surrounding landscape, the hint of hope from the light in the sky always surrounded by dark angry clouds threatening a storm. In many ways this image has come closest to any I've seen as a visual depiction of what it can be like living with depression.
I would STRONGLY suggest that you consider putting this image forward to charities that deal with mental health issues, competitions for campaigns, any ways to get this shot out there, so that other people can view it and get the same reaction I got when I looked at it.

I doubt that your intent was to garner a reaction like I've described, but the image created it nevertheless.

I'm very impressed by what reaction you get from this photo. Personally I'm still very young, so I have to do my very best to imagine your situation when you saw this photo. Yet, I understand the 'vision' you had when talking about depression and the way you look at it.
As my intention is with this photo, you fill up the person as yourself. That means for me that I have succeed and it feels good.
How would you recommand me to get this photo out there? Do you know any competitions?

Absolutely gorgeous. And those unique environmental features! A fallow field? Contrails? All in a winter dawn soaked in those colors you find only in the winter time?! I love winter photography, and this is the best such image I've seen in quite a while.

Yes the snow gives extraordinary effects. It's abstracting all and every thing on the ground. Creating a strange landscape... Sunrise was the perfect moment to catch this photo.
