I've wanted to do one for a little bit, but I was always like 'Fff IDEK what I'd put on that thing...'
But I sat myself down last night and I put it together so I could feel accomplished.

So these are my big influences, for art and writing and other things of the such.

Color Pallets - I fucking love colors. I mess with color pallets all the time and they just make me want to do more. The contrast between some and the blending of some - it's all just beautiful and inspiring. I could look at color pallets for hours in awe, seriously.

American Beauty - Kevin Spacey in general has been kind of a decent influence in the past few years for me. How he talks, how his characters are portrayed - his acting is just phenomenal. When I get into a rut with writing, or if I want to be inspired, I watch this movie and it always seems to help me out. The style in which American Beauty is portrayed is how I want to be as a writer, I suppose.

Photography - I have a giant file on my computer of photographs. When things just look peaceful, simple, and clean, I feel... Better. And so I keep photography that I feel represents this so that I can refer back to it. A lot of my sketches that are never really seen are usually based off the feeling that I get from a photograph.

Details - When mixed with the right color pallet and done right, crazy amounts of details leave me speechless. Although I am a minimalist when it comes to writing and drawing, my original envisions of the pieces have ample details. People who can do details so well and so flawlessly are what keeps me pushing on in the arts.

Fog - I hate and love fog. It kind of freaks me out a little bit, but it also gives me an odd sense of security that I can't even explain. Fog comes up on and off when I am thinking of writing and brainstorming, and in certain moods, influences a bit of my art as well to hold the same feeling.

Bloody Noses - This is also kind of in the same area as black eyes, gore, and all that fun stuff. I oddly really adore it - it's strangely appealing, intriguing.. Beautiful. I think the battered look can be played off very well with certain people, and that a dishelved boy with a bloody nose is fascinating.

OUR - I have been following our for a while now. Her art style is.. extraordinary. The details she can obtain and the characters she can portray so effortlessly is beyond me. When it comes to influences, she is probably one of the top ones simply in style and effort. I've watched her draw on stream a few times and it's just.. Breath taking, and hilarious at moments. Main influence in drawing, really.

Pocket Watches - I love pocket watches and how the look, feel, sound. It's all so extraordinary and fantastic. I am also always looking at the times so that might be why I am so in love with them. Things also kind of in this sort of category are keys and bird cages.

Better Than Ezra - Most influential on my writing and how I think of stories. Their lyrics have been with me since I was a little kid and I've grown to be a huge dork for them. Since a lot of their songs tell stories, they help me move on and make stories of my own, influenced by their sounds and imagery. They are on my top played for when I get to writing.

ModCloth - The clothing there is fantastic. It makes me feel.. Like things are good, and I usually get all sorts of ideas when I am window shopping on there. If I could buy things from there, I'd be doing more photography, because it's simply so photographic.

Psych - Same humor as I have. I love how the show can be serious in moments, but is otherwise totally goofy and off the wall. When I am making my comics I obviously hone in on this and I love how the characters all developed together and yeah.

Handwriting - I am totally losing interest in writing all the junk now. But I adore how people write, even if it's messy. It's crazy how we all learn the same things, but naturally we just pick up on it different and how beautifully chaotic it can turn out to be. If I was better at organization, all of my work would be hand written. It just gives a totally new feeling and perspective on it.

Venetian Masks - Their elegance and beauty and sometimes off the wall look is great. I look at masks a lot because the era and mystique they have behind them is really great. I love masks in general, and how they can totally change something's meaning or the such. So strong, yet can be so subtle.

Almost Famous - The music in this movie is a lot like Better Than Ezra for me - I grew up on it and it's relaxing and great to write to. The general story is entertaining for me and I watch it as much as I do American Beauty. Good for when I am in a writing rut c:

Books - Derp derp. I don't even want to explain this. Old, leather books are the best, though.

Robert Sean Leonard - Oh god, I love how he acts. I don't even know. His movies are really entertaining and Dead Poets Society is.. Fantastic. I like his mannerisms and I watch his rendition of The Music Man when I what to get in a good mood to draw. He's just. Yeah. I like him.
