The rose and the thorn, bliss and melancholy; life can't be without both continuously existing together. While one may not enjoy the sharp sting of a thorn, others will grow up knowing that sometimes beauty can't remain without some discomfort.As far as the location of these photographs; if you haven't been to the International Rose Test Garden (Rose Garden) in Portland, Oregon you are truly missing out on a beautiful site. I love how peaceful the energy is up in the gardens, your first natural instinct is to stop and smell the thousands of roses. I've only been a couple of times but I can tell its going to be one of my favorite places to go escape.
