Description: The temperature of a Feraligatr’s nest during breeding, determines whether the baby Totodile are male or female. Usually the temperature varies in a nest from top to bottom, producing both males and females, but the warmer it is, the more females are born. Many people have become the victim of Totodile’s cute appearance: it’s oversized head and chubby appearance make it a favourite among children, but this only lasts until the pokémon opens it’s jaws. Young Totodile already have jaws strong enough to bite off a hand. None the less, they are easy prey, especially after their mother looses interest in them. When they hatch, they’re about 20 centimetre long and it takes them several weeks before they reach the 60 centimetre they will stay until they evolve into Croconaw. During these few weeks, they are mostly eaten by large Croconaw and Feraligatr. Because these pokémon spend most of their time in or near the water, Totodile usually wander off and stay a bit from the river banks. They usually walk on their hind legs, supported by their tail. They feed on all sorts of small creatures, like fish, lizards and birds. All Totodile have a yellow spot on their belly, but only the females have red lines around these. They are a favourite in zoos, where Totodile feeding time is often an attraction that draws many children and adults alike.
