Read the manga (and by that I'm serious, READ IT!). The '97 anime and the more recent Golden Age Arc OVAs are awesome, but the manga is a true masterpiece imo.

I mean I just despise this fellow. OK, sure his never give up attitude and influence towards people are admirable. But My God, he is just obnoxious. He destroys things and everybody's OK with it? Imagine if I wreck stuff and not give a shit about it. Comic book heroes wreck shit yeah, but they are smart enough to be aware of it.
Plus I just hate his naivete. Something is at stake and he takes most of the time doing jack squat to crack jokes. I find Goku's naivete more bearable than this guy.
