Description I've been a dino nut since I was 5. Disney's Dinosaur comes out, and what happens? I love it of course, especially knowing that Fisney was quite aware that the movies inaccuracies were intentional rather than downright mistakes.

Here is a picture I did while I was interning as a cast member down in WDW for five months. Since I had the time, I had plenty of reference. I took a ton of pictures of the statue outside the movie's ride. I love Aladar!

Medium: HB graphite pencil. (Sadly I didn't have much while I was down there, not even H's and B's.)

Aladar from Disney's "Dinosaur" is copyright 2000.

Its crazy how the statue of aladar in Walt disney world looks exactly as if the character walked off the screen and just froze. Anyway I love this sketch, but its hard to believe the earliest comment was written eight years ago.

love the pencil detail yes Disney's Dinosaur was great! Though i wasn't too sure on the size of the infants (baby dinosaur being held in the arms of a lemur?) but yeah i guess it was intentional

Thanks! (Wait, when you were little? Wow, judging from your page, you were 10. I was 16. Don't know if I should feel old or mature. Just kidding, couldn't resist.) I still am obsessed.

Velcome, I wasn't meaning it like thta. XD I just ment when I was younger I used to be awestruck, I still like them, just not as much I used to. Actually in fantasia (or however you spell it) the dino part was the best, and I used to love the land beofre timr moives,... but they kinda got gay. O_O' Littlefoot started to sound liek Billy Gillman (very young country singer)

Oh, I know, I was just kidding hence the " " Yeah, I loved Rite of Spring from Fantasia as well, though it's sadly dated now. I used to love Land before Time as well, but when they started singing in the first sequel I was kinda turned off... Wow, how many ore they up to? 10?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Michael-Palin-luver In reply to Rebmakash [2005-08-12 16:09:47 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I kinda guessed that ^^ The singing in any moive weirds me out, but if it's a musical, you would kinda expect that, but I digress, no idea how many but I know there are alot. Oh while it's on my mind, Montana has a wonderful dino museum. I went there mayby 6 years ago so I'm not sure where, I went with my grandma so it should be reletivly close to Bozeman if you ever go up there.

Musicals are okay with me, depending. Some the songs rip me out of the story, and when that happens it defeats the purpose.

Hmm, it would be quite a drive for me, (I'm east coast) but thanks for the suggestion! Personally I'd love to visit the Field Museaum in Chicago. Home of Sue!

Yup, I really hate how they can't go one one conversation without singing, even the "no" must be sung

Velcome, that would be cool to check out
