Description Though there are two compositions on display here, this is only one actual project. Theoretically, each can stand independently, but because of the parallels and similarities, I felt it behooved them to be presented together.

The design on the top is "The Triumph of the Light," and the design beneath it is "The Torment of Shadow." Collectively, they don't have a name.

These pieces represent the next step in the refinement of my personal style of photo illustration. Instead of a large collage of shapes as in "Manhattan in Summary," I've combined a multitude of forms into the same area to create a new result altogether, exploring the texture created instead of shape relationships. The result is a more concise, direct design, which was appropriate for exploring the limited areas on the extreme ends of the value spectrum. Though the designs are to be looked at together, I find many people insist on determining which one is best. As for my personal outlook, I'm still reserving judgment.
