If you like along the right side of the page viewing the stamp you'll find a section with three links. One of them says thumb. All you have to do is copy and past the "thumb" link and you can post it in your journal and on your day page. The thumb link is the link that looks like this:

Just post in on your DA page/Journal and it should pop up as the actual stamp. Hope this helps! ^u^ If not note me and I'll explain some more. >

Of course. Points are simply DA currency. You can use points to buy commissions off other artists (custom art). Some artists sell outfit designs, characters and such called "adopts" which you can use to buy with points. You can also trade in points for Premium membership and buy prints with it. If you look at the top of the DA page next to the search bar is a button that says "Shop". Put your mouse on it and the first thing that pops at the top of the pop up should be "Points" and it should say your balance. (If you have anything) and that'd how you see if you have points or not. If you don't have points you can buy some with real money by clicking on "points" or set up a donate pool on your DA page.
Just remember points are worth real money!!
