Summertime!That means that I (might) have more time to draw!!!
Unlike now when I only show up once in a while..
Anyway, sorry its taken so long to upload an actual picture.
This is a picture of my beautiful cat, Kleo.
I had a bit of a rough day yesterday (literally). I got thrown off of my horse and got a concussion while gathering calves yesterday. At least, that's what I've been told. I don't remember a thing. (courtesy of the concussion) I did however, get back on and get the job done, but it was still embarrassing when people kept giving me weird looks and asking me if I was okay. I had no idea what was going on. Anyway, today I was resting my sore self outside this morning, when my cat came over and looked down at my face while I was laying there. The sun looked pretty around her fur I just wanted to draw her.
There comes a time when even the most devout of dog-lovers (myself included) find a cat that even they can't help but love.

Yeah I noticed that earlier as well. I tried to edit it so it wasn't so much like hers. (I had this kind of image in my head before I ever saw hers, but I do have to say it was kind of inspiring! I hope no one thinks I am trying to copy her idea/style/artwork. She is very talented and her work should be admired, not copied.) ^^

Oh wow this is simply beautiful. I love the fur style you used. Such curly brush strokes made her fur flow more and it is an intresting idea for fur detail. I might have to learn that trick for my drawings because showing the actual fur detail is where I am knowticeing I am struggling...
THe backgorund highlights her so nicely and I love the tinting light on her head. ^-^ You did an amazing job on this drawing!
