Please feel free to critique this work. This is an old photo from 2008 that I've been trying to clean up a bit in Adobe Lightroom. It's one of the earliest photos I took with my Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi, which was my very first DLSR. I didn't understand much about exposure and aperture at the time, and definitely nothing about HDR photography. So here's my attempt at trying to fix this overexposed photo.

In "Processed Photo 1", I tried to get a balanced daytime feel while still showing some of the complexity of the clouds and the deep green of landscape nearest to the camera.

In "Processed Photo 2", I tried to get the maximum cloud effect, but decided to go with more of a blueish nighttime look since I had to go so dark in order to get the full complexity of the clouds, and adding the blue tint really popped the clouds out.

Oh, and this photo was taken handheld in the Puget Sound on a ferry trip back from one of our local islands.
