Description

The “Iron Man” is retired U.S. Military General Adam Austin, founder and director of the private defense company Gambit. Back in World War II, he and his team, Razorback, were responsible for investigating and neutralizing meta-natural threats from the Axis forces. Austin, at age 30, prevented the demoness Brio (Torment Lord of Punishment) from coming to Earth by way of a Nazi-built portal (around the same time as the war's end on the European front); the demoness cursed Austin with immortality. Austin thought he could cope with his curse and take all the downsides with dignity. That changed when he and his wife Neena got back their ultrasounds; their unborn child was severely mutated and Neena blamed Adam. When she killed herself in front of him, the fetus came out as a gigantic, acidic blob that attacked the city; Adam had no choice but to kill his “child” with a massive electric shock. His curse made him unable to have normal children, and this disaster left Austin jaded and stone-hearted ever since. Adam Austin is now more than 100 years old, and bound to a cybernetic suit that processes his bodily functions for him, as his advanced age has crippled him (also grants him flight and various weapons). His most trusted agents include Chris Bradley (“Leonine”), Jamie Madrox (“Mandarin”), Max Eisenhart (“Starjammer”), and Gordon Philips (“Megaton”). The ground forces for Gambit are called the Sentinels.

The Hulk” is the nickname of Gambit's “transpositional adaptoid facility” (basically a shape-changing, teleporting version of the Helicarrier) which serves as their secondary HQ. The main AI that runs the Hulk is the Bionic Overlay Response Intelligence System (BORIS). This is where Adam “Iron Man” Austin gathers the future members of his response team that counters an alien incursion in Operation: Avengers.

Dr. Emma Frost, the amoral head of Gambit's medical division, is nicknamed “Dr. Strange”. An expert in surgery, genetic engineering, and bionic implantation, Dr. Frost is also in charge of prisoner interrogations for Gambit. Dr. Frost created the cybernetic suit that allows the immortal Adam Austin to function. Frost is assisted by her Morlocks, gruesome dismembered body parts made sentient through AI cyborg implants.

The Punisher: A new bipedal mech suit that Gambit is experimenting with. The evil Iron Fist stole the schematics for it and used them to create their “Goldigger” mechs.

Thunderbirds: Gambit's combat/personnel transport jets.

Warpath: The name of the extremely dangerous training facility for Gambit's forces. It's in Northern Montana and, previously unknown to Gambit, built on top of a Cree Nation burial ground. The spirit of the Cree warrior Nighthawk led other spirits to possess the faculty of the facility and drove the others away; Gambit called in occult expert Erik Hallgrimsson, aka Warlock, to mediate.

Iron Fist: A major terrorist organization (and main enemy of Gambit), led by Bentley “Metal Master” Whitman. The Diamondheads are the shock troopers, the Silver Surfers are their aquatic assault vehicles, and Ava “Ruby Thursday” Ayala is Metal Master's femme fatale right hand. “The Cable” is the name of their now-destroyed experimental teleportation system; Gambit agents needed to dismantle the Cable before it breaks down and causes destructive wormholes to appear across the planet.

Mercury: A contortionist and assassin working for Iron Fist. When he first started out, he was Leila O'Toole aka Quicksilver. When his sex change surgery was finalized, he changed his legal name to Calvin Rankin and his codename to Mercury.

Notes:

* Iron Man's chair is basically a Dalek.
* That's Gambit's emblem on the uniforms of the Sentinels.
* I don't know how to draw ships of any kind in microhero format, so the Hulk isn't pictured here.
* Didn't intend for the Punisher mech to have the same colors as the real Punisher, it just ended up that way.
* Metal Master's face is half-metallic due to exposure to an experimental ferrous vapor. He can still see out of his right eye just fine.

Wow! You integrated a lot of names into this! I was highly anticipating this...and I'm not disappointed in the slightest. Great work, truly.
