I think the biggest point of contention I have is that Roosevelt would've been fairly neutral on the issue of civil rights if only to keep his southern base which was already losing faith in him. Let's not forget that Roosevelt was a political animal at heart. Of course, it could very well have easily opened the floodgates for the GOP to pursue the Civil Rights Act of 1952 if the GOP candidate (for sake of argument, let's say Eisenhower) made it a goal to court the black vote in the 50s.
Actually... come to think of it... the issue of Civil Rights tore apart the New Deal Coalition because of LBJ's pursuit of Civil Rights. Without that... the New Deal Coalition is likely retained and focuses primarily on the working and farmer classes.... Son of a bitch! That would've been a damn good timeline to explore!

The reason i think civil rights would have been advanced earlier would be because at this point Roosevelt was nearly unquestionable considering he's been is office so long. Not to mention his wife was a large civil rights supporter. Of course this could lead to an early switch of party ideologies with the republicans being the conservatives in the south and the dems being the liberal party for the north.

I strongly doubt that. Eleanor ran to Franklin's left on a lot of issues. While he may have publicly stated that he disagreed with lynching, even calling it deplorable; however, politically, Roosevelt could do nothing on the issue. Let's not underestimate that the Dixiecrats were a sizable force at the time. So, Roosevelt couldn't work against the Dixiecrats too apparently without seeing a split come 1948 and likely would have kept the Democratic Party divided if it weren't healed. It's entirely likely even that if the Second Bill of Rights were passed, Roosevelt would've had to agree to a concession or two particularly in terms of confronting Stalin's Soviet Union. Given that Roosevelt was growing increasingly annoyed with Stalin, especially given the affairs going on in Eastern Europe.

It would've probably been the best thing for America if this timeline were real. Although with how often he butted heads with J. Edger Hoover and with how much dirt Hoover had on FDR, I'm sure there would've been a large scandal.

Probably but then again Hoover himself has dirt, so it be a somewhat Mutually assured destruction between the two.

True. Having a homosexual cross dresser in such a high position would've absolutely destroyed Hoover in the eyes of Americans at that time.

Yeah. Today that'd get a president votes, back then it'd get a lynch mob.
