And I thought Rakshasa was hard... Gosh, I totally failed with the fire! (and yep, right now I'm quite obsessed with MegaCharizard X )
Since some time I felt that there was need to have a "big one" in my gallery, and what better than one of those ancestral, fascinating, fire-breathing creatures?

This big guy's name Aldren, also known as the "Crimson Dragon". Loner subject, he lives near a mountain range named Sulphureous Chain, north of Seth's forest.

The huge bat-like wings on his shoulders allow him to nimbly fly between the mountains and nosedive at high speed, thing very useful when he needs to capture a prey. If necessary, he can keep himself stationary in the air by repeatedly flapping the strong wings, or cling to rocky walls thanks to the bi hooks on top of his wings. He has wonderful eyesight and great hearing, skills that make him a fearsome predator even from great heights.

Just like many specimens of his family, the glowing blue flames Aldren is able to spit from his mouth are his most dangerous and feared weapon. Dragon's fire is different from the common one and can reach extremely high temperatures, able to incinerate everything on its way.
The thick scales that partially cover his body are hard as diamond and provide him with an almost perfect protection, while his long claws are sharp and hard enough to tear even steel.
His long, armored tail serves to balance himself in flight or as powerful weapon in fight, which can be used to give strong lashes or to pierce like a spear. The arrow-shaped tip is actually a longer scale with prehensile abilities, which can be used to quickly grab smaller things (like humans).

His favorite food are roasted harpies, but he doesn't mind having some human sometimes. By the way, he rarely stray far from his territory, therefore, the rare humans who encounters are mostly lost travelers or thieves on the run.
Despite he's considered between the top-high dangerous monsters, he's not actually sadistic or cruel and often proves a chivalrous attitude. Unlike Seth or Rakshasa, he will eat you just if you did him an injustice or made him angry in general (he's quite vengeful) or if he's particularly hungry. In particular, he really can't stand dragon slayers and doesn't hesitate to devour them mercilessly.

Due to a bad experience he had in the past with a human village, he's quite diffident towards human beings and doesn't trust them easily. By the way, he's kinda the tsundere guy: if you prove to be a good person and manage to exit the enemy/food category, he could make an exception and even protect you in case of need.

As much as he's a skilled flyer, he's instead a very poor swimmer. Indeed, he's afraid of the vast expanses of water like large lakes and tends to avoid to fly over them.
The membrane that covers his wings is thinner and more fragile than it appears and, if torn, drastically reduces his flying ability until to make him completely unable to hover. His wings can heal, but they take a very long time compared to the rest of his body and, therefore, to hunt become much more difficult.

Like a lot of other dragons, he has a penchant for gold, especially coins and small objects, on which he likes to lie down like on a vast sea of treasures. This because gold is a good heat conductor and, given the high temperature of his body, it keeps him nicely warm.
A couple of times per week, he takes magma baths to keep his scales shiny and clean.
