I wanted to post this from my old account to this new one. 6 years ago, I started working on a project related to the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS from my old account, with all characters in order based on the Windows 8 Start Screen by year from E3 and Nintendo Directs. and it was a success! Now 6 years later, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming and now, I have decided to make a new project related to it, uses a new concept with a slanted box with colored background representing the character's main colors, and a number representing the character's order of appearance of the Super Smash Bros. series. The final one in the wallpaper collection is the set of newcomers and echo fighters! Note, the numbers for each echo fighter will go in order based on the number of the original fighter, for example, #04ε represents Dark Samus, which is still #04: Samus. Also, a special section for DLC fighters, as each fighter will be revealed, the wallpaper will be updated.

Current update: As of October 5, 2021, the wallpaper series is complete and there will be no more updates to the wallpapers. Thank you for everything.

Past updates:
Update: I added in DLC characters as it was announced today at the Direct. So all five slots will remain hidden until the fighters are revealed in the season pass.
Update 4/16/19: Updated Inkling slot and included Joker from Persona 5.
Update 6/11/19: Updated wallpaper to include Hero from the Dragon Quest series.
Update 9/4/19: During the Nintendo Direct, Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury has announced, along with more DLC fighters coming. Wallpaper has been updated to include Banjo & Kazooie. Terry's official render won't be added til November 2019.
Update 11/6/19: Wallpaper updated to include Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury.
Update 1/16/20: During the Smash livestream, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses has revealed as the fifth and final fighter of the first pass. Also revealed the second season pass, which has six more coming. Updated the wallpaper to include Byleth and the six slots.
Update 3/26/20: This morning, an unexpected Nintendo Direct Mini happened and the next fighter is a fighter from ARMS. Expected to be revealed in June during the digital game events. I will mention the info, but the wallpaper will remain unchanged for now.
Update 6/21/20: Tomorrow is the ARMS fighter reveal, so all the six slots are now available on the wallpaper.
Update 6/22/20: During the Smash livestream, the ARMS fighter has been revealed as the fan favorite ramen bomber, Min Min. Updated the wallpaper to include Min Min.
Update 10/1/20: During the Smash reveal video, Steve and Alex (alternate costume) from the Minecraft series has been revealed as the 7th fighter. Updated the wallpaper to include those two.
Update 12/10/20: During The Game Awards, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII has been revealed as the 8th fighter. We finally got another one from FFVII, and since the reveal, updated the wallpaper to include Sephiroth.
Update 3/2/21: On February 2021, A Nintendo Direct was aired after 530 days of not being aired, and Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were announced as the next DLC fighters. Updated the wallpaper to include Pyra and Mythra.
Update 6/28/21: During the E3 Nintendo Direct few days ago, Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series was announced as the next DLC fighter. Despite this update, the wallpaper won't be updated until June 28th, but it will include a Coming Soon title on the lineup.
Update 6/28/21: Updated the wallpaper to include Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series. Now we are approaching the series finale with one more slot left.
Update 10/5/21 #1: We are approaching the final fighter, meaning the end of the wallpaper series of Smash Ultimate. Updating this for reminder until the fighter is revealed in the Final Mr. Sakurai Presents.
Update 10/5/21 #2: That's a wrap! The final fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is none other than Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series! This marks the end of a 3-year journey of doing the wallpapers, and now Sora gets the final spot on the wallpaper. Thank you for a long ride for the wallpapers.
