Karen's a cop (head of the special investigations in the Paranormal unit)
The work together to catch all kinds of baddies.
I just finished book two a week ago and am waiting for book three...but I won't get it for a while... ARGGG!
It's ADDICTING!
Anyway, this is a 20 min representation of how they look in my head.
I decided to do it in dark blue and gray hues because the big events often happen at night.
In the first book Harry does something really cool with lightning... you'll have to read.
I've been wanting to quick sketch them since I started reading about three weeks ago.
The Dresden Files, Harry Dresden, Karen Murphy all belong to Jim Butcher.

Oh, I don't mean it in a bad way, you did a wonderful job of expressing your artistic creativity of what you believe Murphy looks like. I really like it, a lot in fact 
What I mean, when I said that is that Karren, seems to give off the type of air that she's down to earth and harda$$ed, right? Of course she does, when I think of her, that shirt that seems to expose quite a view into her shirt, the type of shirt that she would likely not wear. You remember Dresden commenting on his shock when he first saw Murphy in a dress? My point.
Other than that, I have no issues with your drawing, in fact I do not have any. It was merely something I noticed and thought to comment on it. No harm meant.

love how gritty this looks, and how tough their expressions are. What with the rate Harry gets black eyes, I doubt the pretty face will last- so I'll enjoy it while I can XD

THis looks great! I love the monocolor effect you got going. And Murphy is really good. Only problem I have is that Harry is more handsome than I imagined.... And that's not really a problem.

Thank you for remembering her button nose. Its an important aspect for my personification of Murphy.
Also The quirk of a smile for Dresden, I've seen lots of the hardened battle ridden wizard but I think this is more of his true self.

I really liked the fact that Murphy is 5 foot with a button nose, cause I'm 5 foot with a button nose. So when it is forgotten in fan art I get annoyed, cause that's one of her main features.
As for Harry I agree, there is more of his personality in a smirk then some serious face.

I do love the series.
I would say it's one of my all time favorites already.
I'm not a 'table top' player, but my brother and some of our family friends are. Actually, one of them introduced the series to the whole group. We've all been reading it.
Although they are all up to date and I just started book three.
I did take a look at the link anyway.
They actually are all writers and make their own worlds then play in them. It's fun to listen to because of the description. Like listening to a book being written.
