Description
   Normally the only time Sonya would dress up as a superhero was if she lost a bet or it was a costume drawing that she had been convinced to do. Today was different, she had been asked by a veterans group to dress up as the fictional Captain Marvel and visit a children’s hospital. She was only supposed to be scheduled for about two hours but when she saw the excited look on the kids’ faces she spent the whole day visiting the kids, taking as much time she could with each kid. A few of them asked why Captain Marvel was so tall and muscular. Sonya just smiled and said it was due to absorbing a lot of energy before she arrived stopping a new villain and the kids seemed to buy it. Sonya also used her healing power to help where she could, though for most of them it only helped alleviate the pain briefly. At the end of the day Sonya sat in what was at the time an empty room feeling mentally drained, trying to compose herself before she went back into the public eye. A nurse handed her a cup of coffee, “Don’t know if this will help.”
   Sonya smiled politely and took it, taking a sip before responding. “Thanks, just wish I could do more.”
   The nurse shook his head, placing a hand on her shoulder. “I’ve seen kids smile for the first time in weeks. Some of them were without pain for the first time in months and others you actually healed or put them on the road to recovery. You did more than anyone asked.”
   Sonya lowered her head slightly, “I just wish I could have permanently healed them all.”
   He sighed, “We all do ma’am, we all do.”
   Sonya nodded finishing the coffee and then stood up, “Thanks for the coffee. Before I head out, I didn’t miss anyone did I?”
   He shook his head, “Nope, they were still excitedly talking about your visit.”
   Sonya smiled, “Glad to hear it…” She looked over at the clock and sighed, “Sorry, I have to get going I have to get changed and go to a meeting. Thank you for everything you do.”
   The nurse nodded, “Same to you.”
