In my eyes, Mikey is a very strong boy, but sometimes I wonder what is really happening inside. I mean, everyone thinks less of him; allow me to explainepisode one: master splinter tells Leo that making Mikey the leader would be a mistake
episode two: Raph crushes Mikey beneath him and makes him say that he shouldn't belong on this planet because he's worthless, also it seems like Raph does it a lot b/c of the way Mikey roll's his eyes at him, he's used to it
in another episode(which I forget) when Aprils father sends a message to her telling her leave the city to save her: when Leo pairs Donnie with Mikey they all don't want to be partnered with him, which hurts me
and you know what hurts me the most?! they fact that Mikey is very smart in his own way and very creative, but of course Mikey is taken as the werido and picked on by HIS OWN FAMILY THE PEOPLE HE TRUSTS heres the best part, Mikeys only true friend LeatherHead is gone, LeatherHead listened to him and was his friend but now he's gone, he's all alone.

I took more than a second to think about this... I love character angst, and it probably makes me look sadistic. So I enjoyed thinking about this. I also love figuring out why characters act the way they do. But, anyway... let's try to reason with this.
1- Though it was probably in the script as a joke, Master Splinter probably meant Mikey's mind-set and skills aren't compatible with being a leader. Mikey just doesn't take very many things seriously and doesn't think things through very well.Β
2- That's just want families do. They tease each other. My older brother did stuff like that to me too.Β
3- They probably didn't want to be with him because he tends to mess things up without meaning to. He's too curious and likes getting into things, and, again, he doesn't think things through.Β
4- Yes, he probably did enjoy being with Leatherhead. They were developing an amazing bond before Leatherhead sacrificed himself.Β
Overall, yes, his family does tease him. But, they also show that they care for him. Like when Mikey was knocked unconscious, Raph panicked and freaked out. In another episode, Donnie and Mikey decided to work together to show that the 'B team' was awesome too. In the online, interactive comics, set before the show, Master Splinter says that Mikey has the most raw talent, but shirks his training too often.
Mikey's really optimistic, and smarter than he seems. He's bound to realize the others don't hate him, even if they do underestimate him a lot.Β
Don't get me wrong, you do have a point. But I don't think Mikey's the type to get depressed about it. ^^Β Even after his so-called friend, Bradford, turned out to only be hanging with him to use him.Β He's not going to let anything get him down for long.
