Description did a minor change on this as well . . couldn't find an agate that didn't seriously make this look awkward. so, in a flash of brilliance (snorts at self) I decided to use the blue quartz I got today as the dividers - quartz is a universal stone, goes with every sign so it works great as the primaries. the blue reminds me of sapphires, which are considered a Taurus stone. so technically it's all quartz, but that blue is just too intense . . makes you think of different stones all-together.

*available - please note if interested*

will most likely be making a v2 with the blue quartz as the primaries and the clear quartz the dividers . . or maybe blue onyx!!

Wow that is an amazingly intense blue. Does the quartz come in that shade naturally or is it dyed or tinted through some mineral or heating process?

it's actually natural . . sort of like the london blue topaz. there is a certain mineral inclusion during the the last half of the crystal process that makes it blue, sort of like what happens to make an amethyst. they are rather rare though, and only occur in certain parts of the world.

I know! when those blue quartz's arrived yesterday with a lot of other gemstones I've been waiting on all I could think of was . . DAMN. not quite cobalt but still so very intense! might make version 2 of this for my daughter in the reverse . . . blue quartz primaries and quartz dividers . . . . she's my little taurian diva.
