Part 2 of Hetalia Live CastMy sister and I came up with this today : )
I don't know many european actors..so sorry if some don't really suit the characters

I have a huge feeling that he could pull it off if they fix him up! Knowing him..he'd make an AWESOME Prussia!

My one-by-one take...
- No idea who the Japan pick is, but he kinda seems... old.
- Ehhh, really don't know where the Miyavi thing comes from (other than those mediocre cast videos from Nico Nico). Can't see him pull it off either, since China's kind of an old fashioned, naggy sort of character.
- Love Christian Bale to pieces, but he's not right for Greece. He's too dark and intense for such a chill, laid back character.
- Hey, another person that agrees that Cillian Murphy's perfect for Austria!
- Gerry IS Rome.
- Have no idea who the England choice is.
- Bleh, never really like Josh hartlett in anything, plus he's way too old for Romano, and I really can't see him play off with your Spain choice.
- Heh, I used to have Orlando as Germania too, but it was more for a silly gag. In more serious terms, I'd get an actor closer to Gerard Butler's age, and who looks more rugged. Sean Bean (Silent Hill, GoldenEye, Game of Thrones) sound ok to you?
- Chris Evans actually is a secondary choice of mine for America, though it might be a little too typecast there. My cast has Garrett Hedlund (Tron Legacy, Four Brothers). But I'm not against him at all.
- Have no clue who the France choice is.
- Emily would be a good Belarus.
- Have no idea who this Germany choice is.
- Can't see this kid as Russia at all. Way, waaaay too young looking, and doesn't even have an imposing air to him, considering Russia's supposed to be much taller and bulkier.
- I do like Dand as an actor, but...no. Really can't see him pull off the in-your-face arrogance and egotism.
- See you got Gaspard as Spain too. He'd pull it off.
- Can't see this dude as Denmark. Looks far too skinny and not quite rugged or imposing enough. I cast Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Huntsman, Thor). For one thing, he's a total badass, has the height and muscular physique down pat, and is more than talented enough.
- Have no clue who Liechtenstein is, though she looks like she could be a decent choice.
- No... No... love Johnny Depp as well, but no. I wish I knew some legit Turkish actors, but I don't have any. However, I personally cast Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike, True Blood), since he has the imposing build and is a definite show stealer.
- Tom Welling is way, way too old and way too tall for North Italy. Someone younger and more... wimpy looking is in order.
- That's Freddie Highmore right? I guess I could see him as Latvia since he has the sort of wide-eyed innocence.
- Decent Iceland choice.
- Ehh, no on that Finland choice (that's Lucas Grabeel, right?).
- HAHAHAHA. No. Aside from looking nothing like Lithuania, I really can't see Rupert Grint pull off any side of the character. I'd go for Anton Yelchin (Pirates! Band of Misfits, Star Trek, Charlie Bartlett), who actually was born in Eastern Europe, looks exactly like the character, and is megatalented too
- Ugh, why does Sweden always get cast with wimpy looking pretty boys? While Alex does at last have some height and muscle on him, he's nowhere near intimidating enough for Sweden. I'd get Alexander Skarsgard, who is an excellent actor despite a few questionable film choices like Battleship, stands at a towering 6'4, and is a born and bred Swede. Can't get any better than that.

Thank you for the comments on the cast I've chosen. Though, I'd just like to remind you that this isn't a serious casting. I just chose these people based on how they look, not how they act or how old they are. Actors are supposed to act differently from how they usually are. It is their job.
Also, I have observed that you disagree on many of the people chosen. As much as I appreciate your constructive criticism nor do I believe everyone must agree with my choices, I must remind you that I am NOT catering to other's opinions. I have based this casting on MY opinion.
Maybe, instead of making a list that points out what 'cast-maker' has done wrong our right, you can make a casting list of your own. I think that would be a very good way of voicing your opinion of who you would like to cast rather than telling someone how you would like them to cast certain characters. Besides, your apparent eye for detail and vast knowledge of actors and actresses would make it easier for you to find a cast that is suitable for you.

I saw the cast listing you made. Honestly, I'm not very familiar with most of those you have chosen, so forgive me for I may not be the best to judge.
Many seem very promising as a cast, though lot seem very serious and rugged looking to me. It seems this is why most of our ideas clashed. I prefer the soft featured and comical types. You seem to adore the rugged features and more serious types, which I have nothing against as well. Maybe it's because of the normal features of actors found in our countries, maybe it's just our own preferences on how what types of looks we favor in a person. None the less, they're very interesting.
All in all, your casting was very interesting (especially due to the contrast of our ideas). I'd love to see how they'd pull off Hetalia.

Heh yeah, I'll admit, I kinda do go for somewhat more rugged looking men (tall, square shaped jaws, muscular bodies, etc). I don't really think a more RL Hetalia would be all super moe.
So yeah, you are right, personal tastes do seem to have played a role in our different castings. I can see where some of your choices can look like good picks as the characters.
