Got bored today, and I realised just how little I've drawn so far this summer (which is half over, I now see). So I was browsing through my Disney Princess books and I figured I'd give a shot at one of the Little Mermaid pictures. So I found a pretty one, sketched, inked and then colored it with prismacolor markers. And ta da! Here she is, daydreaming about marrying Prince Erik.Related content

Oh you did get it from a book? I was wondering because I happened upon a children's book at the public library with Ariel looking exactly like that, and I'd thought that if you'd created the idea first, then somehow K. Emily Hutta had ran with it & turned it into a children's story, published in 2004.
Your version is a very close likeness to the one from the book, very good!

This is brilliant piece of work. I love this picture of Ariel in a underwater wedding dress, and using traditional markers gives it a magical feel of Disney. It looks very colourful and full of depth and tones too. It's a bit dark but maybe due to scanner. I love Ariel and I love this. Well done.
