Description
So...what's the story behind this sketch? Well...it was the first drawing I'd done in my sketchbook in months, and the first of 2015, and I began it a couple of days before I had to go the hospital to be treated for pneumonia. Thankfully, I was able to get my sketchbook and a few other items delivered to me early on during my stay, and I ended up finishing this. It did catch the attention of some of the hospital staff and my roomate (who was a very cool dude--he made sure to point out my sketches when his wife and son visited, and we all ended up spending a great evening talking about stuff).As it turns out, I ended up doing three sketches during my stay in the hospital--of course, it's a helluva thing to have such an event trigger a period of drawing, but it certainly helped a lot during my recovery.
Drawn in Carmine Red pencil, and scanned in PhotoShop.

Thanks much! I also hope to see JUPITER ASCENDING, since I like the Wachowskis' films and I really enjoyed CLOUD ATLAS. If this is their take on space opera, I'm in.

I read an article on the movie.They showed it at a festival and people just upped and walked no applause whatsoever. That's why I'm reluctant to watch it despite a really good trailer

I hear you about that....but I figure I might as well see it with my own eyes and decide for myself whether it sucks or not. It's happened with some movies that people do not like--I end up seeing the film and liking the movie quite a bit, wondering "Why did they dislike this film?"

Yup.Every movie has its fair share of haters. I loved the Lone Ranger but the film bombed at the box office. IT happens

Thanks! The uniform the girl with the gun is wearing was partially inspired by the outfits I saw on PHANTASY STAR ONLINE. I may decide to color this in the near future, and maybe fix a couple of errors that are present.

I've actually started inking the piece in Manga Studio so it can be colored in PS. Ironically, I have not played PSO--but I loved the designs and artwork I saw related to the game. I do--and have played--the two PHANTASY STAR PORTABLE games for the PSP, especially the second one (but it was rather expensive to get!).
