This one is a reasonably common garden plant here, so I knew it's name, but if I don't, Google Images is surprisingly helpful

If you've got an image, Google Images is pretty good at finding a name, but it also works surprisingly well with plant descriptions

You have to start getting fairly specific to narrow it down, but as an example this string spits out Frangipanis:
www.google.com/search?tbm=ischβ¦
Then it's a bit hit and miss to hope it finds something with a useful name.

somebody sent me chasing for info on a figaro plant .... only took me 2 hours to figure it out :S
