If Batman can somehow forgive Catwoman despite the numerous amount of times she has double crossed him, then I do not see why Leon cannot do the same for Ada. She must have her reasons that are for the greater good.

We already see that happening in re6. Especially with Leon making bad decidions caused by leaning towards selfishness. At this point, I don't event think that Ada's reasoning is making any difference.
