FINALLY finished! well at least as close to it as I can get without going crazy
by far this was one of the most "temperamental" drawings I have colored yet
. For some reason or another I couldn't get the colors to come out how I wanted them. I think I re-did the colors at least 3 times for each detail, including 3 sets of eye colors and 2-3 sets of hair and mask colors. 
I'm still a little iffy on some of them, but for now they will have to do. 
Because I had such a difficult time with this and just recently finished it I was not able to enter it into the contest I had wanted to enter it to
but that's ok I guess, there is always next year
DURATION I believe (cause I don't usually keep track of how long) that it took around a week to finish this. Give or take a few days (well nights, since that's when I do all of my work
) that I didn't work on it at all
. In total there are 280 layers

thank you, to be honest I was ready to give up on the mask a few times, I had to put this drawing aside for a while because it was a little frustrating. I am really glad that you like how the final drawing came out

Oh, I dare say we've all felt that. I leave work to fester for months because it beings to annoy me >D I guess the gradient on the mask would've been hard to do with the intricate design, but the lineart must've hurt even more, haha. In the end, it was all worth it!

lol, yeah, the hardest part about coloring this drawing was choosing the colors I think I changed then at least 3 times each thing. I am very indecisive some times

Well, the mass of hair and the other calm colors like in the background and the skin make the mask stand out very nicely. Also, I like that all the cold tones are restricted to the mask and her eyes. You chose great!
