Portrait of a dragon I did a while ago and finally got around to scanning. Just about as detailed as I've ever made as far as sketches go.... pretty proud of it if I say so myselfMaterials: Mechanical Pencils, PITT artist Pens, Prismacolor markers

all of my colorings contain many layers of color. Thus they generally require large amounts of ink to produce. It's expensive but worth it in the long run

He's so handsome! How come one of those isn't the dragon you see in movies and junk? 'course it would wreck the "terror factor" when the audience goes awwww and some little kid in the back shouts "Mommi I want won a does!"

Love the detail you put into it...must have taken forever to do all those scales.
I like how you did the eye too (mine never turn out so expressive)

it doesn't take all that long if you're used to it... I do scales a lot and so my hand has learned to go into auto pilot when doing scales. it took me a good hour and a half to ink the entire thing... The eye... hmm... well I'm actually not very happy with it... actually the eye is fine but the transition from scales to eye needs some work.... I've never been able to get a good transition there for some reason XD
