Not exactly how I planned for me and Guzma to meet, this is just an AU after all but after seeing what the friend LudiculousPegasus drew for the 4th day of Tumblr's Self-Insert Week I just HAD to give this a try!

This picture partially illustrates the headcanon that Guzma was bullied and beaten to no end (as if the abuse he had to endure from his father at home wasn't bad enough, oh how I love seeing my faves suffer...) in Trainer School because of his dream to become a trial captain with a wimpy Wimpod and thus preferred to be alone to cry during recess time. My character comes along to see what's going on and decides to give him company. They bond and quickly become friends because they love their little PokePartners who both happen to hate staying inside their PokeBalls And, yes, Cherri was always a Pikachu. I am from Kanto after all.
