I'm glad that I'm not the only one who enjoys Yo Kai Watch anime series and heck, I didn't even play the video game version of it yet.

I just proofread your review summary. Copy and paste your new edited review summary (below) in the description section:
Yo-kai Watch is definitely one of the most interesting video games to hit the States in 2015, and it's highly underrated. I wouldn't by any means call it a Pokémon killer as others so erroneously trash it as, but it is definitely a game with a lot of heart, a great concept utilizing mythical creatures we in the States wouldn't know of, and the cast is all very likable and quirky. It helps especially that unlike the last anime Disney XD aired, Doraemon, they didn't really change much of anything except for the names. Then again, Ash Ketchum rolls a lot easier off the tongue than Satoshi, so I'll take Nate Adams over Keita Amano. I guess you could call this Japan's answer to Danny Phantom in a way; hey, at least it's sillier than The Real Ghostbusters, am I right?
That being said, even with all sorts of crazy wacky Yo-kai in this show like Fidgephant who makes you need to piss, Cheeksqueek who farts out his ass mouth and makes others fart, and weirdoes like the perverted Manjimutt, it's hard to remember that these Yo-kai were, for the most part, living beings who couldn't pass on to the afterlife.
Jibanyan is the game's mascot sharing that position with Whisper, and despite the cuteness, he's one of the more tragic cases in the series. Back when he was a living cat with his owner Amy, he got hit by a truck in this intersection which he now haunts. Amy stood over his body crying, AND CALLED HIM A LOSER! At least, that was what Jibayan thought had happened in his last moments of life; when you're dying, your senses aren't all that sharp, especially when you're an animal. From this point on there’s major spoilers so turn back now if you don't want any of these feelios!
Remember the first episode of Yu Yu Hakusho where Yusuke died saving that kid from a truck? Yeah, it's exactly like that, only without the dramatic irony for comedy or a snarky grim reaper voiced by Cynthia Cranz. Amy tried crossing the street to meet her friends when she wasn't supposed to and nearly got run over, so JIBANYAN DIVES IN to push her out of the way of the oncoming truck collision and takes the hit for her! He saved her life! Jibanyan heard Amy say this when he first became a Yo-kai and though she was talking about him, but really, she was cursing herself for being so careless to begin with! It's her own fault that Jibanyan died and saved her life. If she wasn’t so careless, he'd still be alive! And she lives with that guilt knowing it's her fault he's gone. Jibanyan thought that she wanted him to be better by calling him lame or a loser in death, so as a Yo-kai, he haunts the intersection of his death and inspirits the vehicles to cause near-collisions whenever he can; not collisions, but close calls given his death. He thinks that by "defeating these vehicles", he will earn Amy's approval.
Jibanyan may remember when he was alive, but he cannot remember his living name like so many spirits are one to do. And he doesn't even remember he saved his owner. So his entire dedication to better himself for the owner he though hated him in death is tragically pointless. Just watching him try in desperation to stop these trucks and failing so hard is comically tragic if that's the right term. It may look funny seeing a ghost kitty getting hit by truck after truck, but to him, this is no joke… he WANTS to prove to Amy he's no loser! So what better way than to team up with Nate? This is where he obtains his very first Yo-kai medal and thus his journey into the world of Yo-kai truly begins!

I loved Jibanyan and felt sorry for him and his plight; this scene was, in my opinion, even more touching in the game when you help him reclaim his photo of Amy from a mean Roughraff.

I HAVE to watch and review the Fodgephant episode! It's weird he's apart of the Tough Tribe, a watery Yo-kAi should be in the Slippery Tribe shouldn't it? Then again she's an Elephant.

I like this anime, it's pretty enjoyable, which is surprising; then again, many of the Level 5 animes are charming and pretty good. Though if I remember correctly, Jibanyan does remember Amy, he just doesn't remember his own name.
Does this show still take place in Japan, by the way?

Probably but they make a lot of American Jokes. Funny thing is the 3rd Yo-Kai Watch game takes place in America.

Oh. Like what? Pop culture references? Kind of weird that they have western names, I mean, Kanto in Pokemon is based on Japan, but it isn't actually Japan; when the setting actually is Japan complete with many distinctly Japanese things like gatchapon machines and randoseru backpacks, not to mention Japanese yokai, things start to get a little weird. Especially when America exists, though I don't know how much the anime follows the games; it could just be doing it's own thing and staying in the first game like the manga. That's why I asked actually, the third game is taking place in America; I think there's gonna be stereotypes, though. Loads of them. No doubt it's going to be good, but Japanese works often don't 100% "get" western settings, if you know what I mean.

the cutsey artstyle alone makes me wanna give it a chance
i have a thing for cutsey anime i cant hate any anime with a adorable artstyle i know its dumb but how can u have designs as kawai as the iones in yo kai watch
hell some video games with anime styles do that for me most notably atelier or the shantae games(well its anime like anyway)
