I think a lot of people can relate to this poem. I was just telling my friend the other day I didn't want to go out, because I didn't want to have to smile and laugh and pretend I was okay. You couldn't have written truer words <3

I don't think these words could have any more truth to them. Beautiful as always.

This is so true, and could apply to almost anything--a mental illness like depression or dealing with a tragedy, or even just going through regular life. I appreciate the simple truth stated in this little poem.

I've been wiping away my tears too much, and I didn't have the emotional or physical assurance OR strangth(please excuse my spelling) thank your for actual feeling something when you read it. I don't get a lot of sympathy, ya know. Hank you for replying to me, it gives me something to live for...

Thank you... I'm alot happier then last time I was on. A guy I had been crushing on for 5 years asked me out 2 months ago and we've had a happy relationship, but I'm not used to giving so much love to one person it gets hard just staying awake. It's weird, but my emotional feelings take a lot of effect on my physical strength.  And since I've been using all my power and energy to learn to love and sat awake, my aura has been really weak. I'm not as strong anymore, and I'm very volorable to people so I've been sleeping every chance I get. It probably makes no sense, me talking about emotional love taking affect with my physical strength and using up all of my natural aura! I'm an outcast because I have a gift with nature. I can communicate with animals in some strange way, it gives me power. Nvm I sound insane. Still, thank you. I'm going to try to regain more of my aura. Good night, friend...

Great minds think alike! I wrote the same analogy in my poem Poison x3 ( fantasy-luver.deviantart.com/art/Poison-180208255 ) I've always thought of fake smiles as masks people put on, as something they force upon themselves when it is not necessary. Wonderful short poem <3 Keep writing!

Reham-Y In reply to Fantasy-luver [2014-09-03 16:22:53 +0000 UTC]

EXACTLY!! they force it cause they want to be accepted by others, honestly when i was myself and didn't fake a smile, no one really wanted to hang out with me cause i was down a lot, so i had to force myself to fake a smile and blend in with the people.
thank you so much for ur kind comment.
and omg ur poem was amazing, i loved it!!

It's so sad most people don't try help those who are depressed, or even worse- to give up on them after  failing again and again to try and live a happier life. I can relate- I've had on and off depression since i was 15, along with a plethora of disorders- most of which i overcame. Sometimes you just have to fake it until you feel it is real.
I hope you are feeling happier now-a-days <3 Keep writing! I am looking forward to reading more of your work~

It's no problem, it's always great to see another artist's pieces. It allows you to see their views and their perspective.

An emotionally intelligent person would be able to tell your smile is fake.
