Description This is what I've been working on the last few weeks- a commission for a local viking and mystic metal band called Solarfall.

Their bandcamp --> solarfalldenver.bandcamp.com
Their facebook--> www.facebook.com/SolarfallDenv…

I love this, so so much. This is obviously the lineart version of the piece- the colored version is located here for your viewing pleasure:

This is my "March" monthly artwork. Holding up my end of the bargain! I know the lead singer of the band personally, and these guys are awesome. Seriously you guys should check out their stuff if you're into this music genre. If not, no worries!

They wanted a square image, with a red dragon breathing fire on/with/over a pirate ship on the raging seas. Obviously in this picture you can't see the fire, and the "raging seas" part was something I alluded to but didn't detail... but they love it anyway, which is all I care about. The guitarist is a real dragon critic and I passed his approval so that was really my goal with the dragon here I know the face is strange with the scales, but there's a method to the madness, promise Just future work to come.

To all my adventurous buddies here on deviantart- namely the Tall ship lover, the fantasy creators, my inspirations- you know who you are and I hope I was able to do you justice! I didn't use any references except a few goggle images of how to draw a mast with the canvas all rolled up, so all in all I think this is one of the best pieces I've done to date. I really hope you guys are able to enjoy the perspective of being on the crow's nest and out of the dragon's fire!

This image is copyrighted and was made solely for the band Solarfall from Denver, CO, and the image is owned by them, and myself, as the original artist. In no way are you to attempt to remove the watermark and try to resell the image as your own.

If you are interested in getting a piece done for yourself, please note me so we can discuss prices. Commissions are always open. I don't bite!

I love you guys. You are my inspiration. Trying to take back my life one step at a time. I sincerely appreciate your support and please enjoy this artwork.

Pirates and dragons?! Throw in some ninjas and a coolness singularity might form!
It's amazing how both pics give very different feelings just from the coloring (or lack of) alone.

Goodness, I absolutely adore this black and white version! Especially where all those tiny scales are, so that from afar it nearly looks grey, fantastic effect!

Thank you dear! Yeah, it looks really cool when it looks like the black and white together make grey when it's detailed like this.
