Oh oh, this should be turned into stationary! Yes! It would look awesome in the corner of a letter or even as a side frame!

Actually, this is one of my other characters from a different series that I plan to do once I'm done with SF.

Yeah. It's a three volume project, 18 chapters.
Don't know how long this next project will be yet... probably about the same length or maybe even a tad shorter.

I like the red lines drawn overtop of the darker outlines, and the eraser scribbles in the coloring of the phoenix. And the overall composition, too - adds to the calligraphic feel.
What kind of pen did you ink with?

Photoshop basic hard round. The only thing that I did on paper was the original pencil sketch.

heh, or is it all digital? It looks like it might be, but it's kind of hard to tell.

Hey, good job! Sometimes loose and scribbly has its own gritty and organic appeal, and I think you found it. Nice color scheme too.

Wonderfully done! I especially like the way you've drawn the clothing, as well as the strong sense of movement~

Looks good, though three hours seems like a lot for how rough the picture is.

I've found that sometimes doing the sketchy look and style of illustrations (on PURPOSE) often takes just as long, if not longer than smooth images.. It can be difficult to obtain the perfectly natural-looking sketchy side of things, especially if that isn't your normal way of drawing. I dunno though, thats just me. ^^

Heh, I'm the same way, a perfectionist, so it's understandable.
