Alder can pretty much do what a beetle can. Specifically a Rhinocerous beetle. Increased strength and durability. Excellent climber. He's got an extra set of limbs which is really helpful. He's also got wings and can fly! A sturdy hero with an imposing presence.

Limitations: Alder's body is too heavy for sustained flight/effective directional control in the air. Because of the wing casing on his back, its difficult for him to return to an upright position if knocked onto his back. Vulnerable to extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Personals

Personality: Alder is a stoic, but proud man. He's a man of few words, and while some say its because he's stupid, he doesn't want to say anything that could be misinterpreted. So he chooses his words carefully. He's reckless and blunt, but he's very protective of people! Often using himself as a shield to protect others. He loves shows of strength and often encourages his students to hit him/use their quirks on him so he can see their real power first hand.

Likes: Oranges, high stress situations (he loves intensity and adrenaline rushes), Lawrence

Dislikes: Snow, helplessness, scrambled eggs

History: Alder is known for jumping into a situation and using only his strength. He's reckless, he's prone to self destruction, and doesn't tend to think about situations very thouroughly. Despite this! He's a great combat teacher. He helps students build their bodies. Encourages physical growth and is actually pretty brillaint in helping students discover new ways to use their quirks. He's quite an inspirational person and very motivating. He's a good coach even if he is pretty quiet.

Extras:
It started as an accident but now Alder lets students use their quirks against him. He thinks it will make him stronger. He also doesn't mind having to go to the nurse's office with Lawrence there to patch him up. But don't fuckin tell him that.

He wears metal gauntlets and boots to protect his hands and feet as he deals blows, but the wings/casings are very much attached to him.
