Description

What?

Oh, hey will you look at that, I can sketch normal human legs now without feeling immensely uncomfortable

random art level-up, I guess?

Good art feels aside though, gonne FINAlly be taking my car-driving-theory test tomorrow, something I've been procrastinating close to half a year now (it's not even the actual driving part yet, ogod) I said to myself I'd do it before school begins, which is next monday, so I literally waited until the last minute just to do this meager "cross the right answer" test.

idk, I get really anxious about tests man, even if they're said to be really easy, I'll just think stuff like "then it'll be even shittier if I don't make it". Like I had a stress dream about this stupid thing just yesterday, where I dreamt that part of the test was a 2-page text to be read and written an essay about - which is idiotic because -

some of the questions this test could have, is literally stuff like "does alcoholism: A. give you faster reflexes? B. make you more awake? or C. hinder your senses" and my brain will still give me stress dreams about it, because TESTS

ugh

I know I generally do above average in tests, and that it'll be fine either way, but that wont stop me from being anxious about it >:'c

----

And other than that, will re-open big-time commissions in the next couple of days! I'll give a warning 24 hours prior beforehand, so keep an eye out for journals.

I really like seeing these sketchdumps. They really show that you don't only pump out refined stuff but also derpy sketches and I love to see that kind of stuff from people : D I really love those tiny place holder faces, never get rid of those.

Also congrats on the test results! I completely panicked with my test too, even tho I practiced a TON. (Still I had question in my test I never had in practice which was odd and annoying haha) Just a heads up, the practical test is much worse :'D (not to be pressuring or anything.... sorry)

Fun story of my theory test: We filled the test in digitally and when you sent it and you failed the printer would turn on and print something. So there was this 2sec break between the sending of the test and the "will the printer turn on" where you just died internally. Fun times :')

I adore seeing your sketches. The ones with detail bodies and silly simplistic line smiley faces always make me laugh. They remind me a lot of Temmie from Undertale

Considering how amazing your work is, it's great to see the preliminary process of it all, to understand how you do what you do and lime most artists it's not always perfect in the first sketch.

Love your work Good luck on the test!

I'm really sorry to hear that nudist sketches make you uncomfortable, however, had you considered that your comment could be seen as rather rude to the artist? You're basically telling Rema that their artwork that they put time and effort into makes you want to vomit. Perhaps if you don't like it you should have just clicked away. Just some friendly advice.

Just gonna put it out there that doing nude sketches helps understand the parts of a human when wearing clothes and doing different positions. Being able to create realistic lines and contours helps a lot when you know underlying bone, muscle and skin.
Out of curiosity, are you uncomfortable because of sexual obligate connotation to nudity? Or actually don't like how the human body looks?

Aaaa love these!!! I'm so excited for yer commissions to open again!! Ive lowkey been saving and waiting for 2 years so I'm siked!!! Do you know if you will be raising the prices you currently have??? Just so I know I have enough for what I want right away!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Remarin In reply to ZvmbieGutz [2018-09-17 20:45:22 +0000 UTC]

Ayy, current range would go up to 100$ for something like a fullbody shaded + detailed/realistic background. My system for fullbodies still is mainly dependant on background type, so a transparent background would make the price go down to 45$ and there's, of course, some in-between options as well.Β
Basically the sketch-type commissions are around the 5-15$ range, the semi-painted stuff and detailed headshot stuff >50$ and the more detailed stuff 50-100$ if that gives you a rough idea? If there's a limited budget I can of course adapt, and do like "less detailed/bit more messy" versions of the more expensive ones

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ZvmbieGutz In reply to Remarin [2018-09-17 21:40:53 +0000 UTC]

ah actually i was thinking of getting a fullbody with "fancy stuff" ;0 this is what im going on for price.
im not sure what fancy stuff means but its listed here.Β
Price listI'm always willing to try out drawing stuff that lies outside of my comfort-zone! So don't hesitate to ask me about anything ;0
Also, want me to record the process? You can simply request it and I'll be making a video out of it. Otherwise I'll simply do it randomly when I feel like I haven't posted anything in a while on youtube, or if I think something will be a nice watch.
-additional characters are +15$
------
Β  Basic rundown:
Basic headshots: 15$
Painted sketch: 20$
Sketch page: 25$
Lineart: 15$
Fullbody no bg: 35$
Β  -- minimal bg: 40$ (to add fancy stuff +10$)
Β  -- realistic bg: 75$
Free-for-all: 60$
Detailed painted headshots: 30$
Reference Sheet: 30$ / Design: 40$
Feel free to ask for things not currently listed too!

That one will still be on the updated list, no worries! I renamed it to "decorated background" so that it might be a bit clearer as to what it entails :'3 (think like stage decoration, stuff to frame the character, includes effects if the character has special abilities etc)

With the new price-list, that one was merely raised to 60$ instead of the previous 50$

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Remarin In reply to CapeKelpie [2018-09-17 20:22:23 +0000 UTC]

Hmm well I draw from memory when I do personal sketches, so I definitely run the risk of accidentally mixing up my animal anatomies. Like the "upper arm" part of the legs upon checking reference, should be way less defined / less separated from the main body on the left-most muscly dude and lady McLadyface to the right, the two middle ones look fine in that regard.

But other than that, they seem just slightly stylized, or is there something else? I guess my proportions on the joint-placement is still off? Canine anatomy is just so ingrained in my mind :I
