Personality: Burr had a lot of spirit in her as a young horse and due to incompetent owners, was pawned off again and again. No one would take the time or energy to properly train her and as such she has become a cold-hearted and cruel horse. She escaped her last owner in hopes of getting away from humans. She is still able to learn and, given the proper rider and training, will perform beautifully.

It was a brisk, chilly January afternoon. Shelby had decided to go visit a local graveyard where her dearest grandfather had been buried years ago. As she trudged through the misty graveyard, the sound of movement made her raise her eyes to see a touching sight.

A beautiful mare, bright and vibrant as the sun itself with black bone-like markings, was pawing at the dead winter grass, trying to find edible bits of it. "Hey there, lovely girl..." Shelby softly called, reaching out a hand towards the mare, who huffed in response and trotted a little bit away from the feline woman.

Always carrying sugar cubes in her pocket for whenever one of her own equines might need some coaxing, she slowly pulled out a few and held her hand out to the mare. Motionlessly, she called, "Here girl." In retort, the mare pinned her ears against her head and looked over her shoulder at the woman beckoning her. However, as soon as she spotted the sugar cubes, her attitude changed completely. She perked her ears and with much caution moved towards the treat extended out towards her. "I won't hurt you, darling."

Soon enough, Shelby had gained the mares trust enough that she was able to throw a rope around her neck and very gently coax her back home.
