THIS should be a DA challenge for a moment of remembrance!
My dad's dad was in Pearl Harbor. My grandfather's little brother also served in the Pacific - he was going in as his big brother was just finishing.
Fortunately both of them survived and lived full, loving lives into their 90s. Sadly, not all of their friends did, nor did many others.
War is hell. Even if you don't support the war, please, please, support those who stood up and said "I'll go." By them volunteering, they spared someone from being told "you...pack your bags, you're going, whether you like it or not."
