Over two months ago, I reached out to GoobsR to see if they wanted to collaborate on a piece focusing on their adoptable, Clair. I loved everything about this character. I love her graceful demeanor, beautiful design, and how she walks the line between a Heavenly and Earthly being. It was the latter that inspired us to dream up a scene that placed her in a realm that walked a similar line, the Garden of Eden.

Unfortunately, I got tied up with work and I had to put this collab on hold. Now it's finally finished, and I am really happy with how this turned out! I had to draw Clair four different times in order to get the pose and framing that I wanted. Once I did, I was able to render her digitally. I'm not too great at backgrounds, so I had to find a reference for Eden. Knowing that I would not be able to replicate a photo with the tools I had, I opted for an abstract, stylized version of the reference photo (which I can tag for whoever is interested).
