So, I love zombies. Not as much as vampires, but I've always had this interest in zombies. This pony is probably the one I'm most proud of. The rotting flesh was a bit hard, and making the mane and tail look so sparse and mangey was maddening. However, I think the pony could not have come out any better.

For anyone who does not know what a zombie is.....

.....Why?

Brief history, the modern zombie was a product of George Romero's film Night of the Living Dead. Before the film, zombies were thought to be corpses reanimated by voodoo and made to serve a master (essentially the one who brought them back). The first zombie film used this premise (White Zombie starring Bela Lugosi).

Night of the Living Dead introduced the idea of the zombie plague, as well as the flesh eating zombie. While it was a film commentary on American Society and the rise of a new civilization literally eating away at the old, it has since become the archetype for the zombie movies made today. With 12/21/2012 coming up, there's a lot of apocalypse talk going on and while I'm pretty sure it's just a bunch of freaked out people (NO COMMENTARY NEEDED ON THIS POINT), my favorite "The world's going to end" story has been the idea of a zombie infestation starting on this date.
