Well, I usually give myself a time limit, because I procrastinate a lot.

Cool picture!
The small hair lock that's over his left eye (/his/ left) appears to be covered by the eyeshine. Might want to fix that...
I KNOW!! I broke down and bought a soft peach prismacolor pencil, but that was just because I didn't want to bother with getting a whole box just to have soft peach... because they don't sell "cheap" brand colored pencils individually. *huff*

I got a really really good deal for my set of prismacolors. It was the set of 72 that is normally $130, but I got it on black friday for $60, plus there was a $10 rebate for it as well.
So I ended up with twice as many pencils as a smaller box, but for about the same price.
The problem is that most of the colors in the box aren't sold individually in most of the stores that we have around here, so once I use them up then I'll be in trouble....

That /is/ a good deal. Still pretty expesive, though...
How would you rate the prismacolor brand? I haven't had much personal experience with them.

I like their softness, and how they blend. I'm just now getting used to using them though since I usually use cheaper brands to save money.

I think that I would use normal pencils for skies and things... Prismacolors are too soft for that and you would probably end up using too much of the pencil.

Oh. I hate filling in skyscapes with colored pencil. It takes forever and most of the time it doesn't even look right. I thought that maybe prismacolor pencils would work better because after you're done filling in the sky you could go over it with your finger or a blending stub and get it nice and smooth-looking. But you're probably right about the using-too-much-pencil-cause-of-the-softness.
Maybe I should start using colored chalk for skyscapes or soemthing...

Hm... I thought I had some once, but it still bled/got smeared a little bit when I got it wet-ish... Maybe I got it too wet, or wetted it too often or something...

Well, you need to make sure it's completely dry before you get it wet. Maybe wait like 30 minutes.
And the really good brands like Pigma Microns and Faber-Castell don't bleed I don't think.

I thought I had waited long enough for it to dry. Maybe I didn't. Or maybe the brand I got just wasn't very good. (it said repetedly that they were waterproof, though...)
