I am sorry about this piece, I sold it in May for $ 220.00 at an art show that we had. If there are others you are interested in let me know. I am making new things at the moment, but they never stick around very long. I will always tell you the price and shipping charge before I send a piece out, so there are no surprizes. My e-mail address is milo_strom@hotmail.com if you want to connect with me. Just look at my business card...it is in with all my other works on my site. [link] here is my blog some of my prices are on my other collector pieces.

Thank you very much ! As you might have quessed , I ...also...love blue. I make many of my own glazes, but this isn't one of them, this glaze is a called " Blue Rutile " and I use it quite often on certain work. Almost all of the pottery that you have viewed was made last summer at Superior Lake College in Duluth, Minnesota for an " International Wood Firing Conference" with 16 of China's finest student. There are 5,000 art students that apply to 2 of China's most prestigiouscolleges and the colleges only accept one out of the mass of applicants,we worked with 16 of those special artist's for many weeks. My wife and I made 800 pieces of pottery over the summer and fall classes. We met the professor who is the head of scupture in Chinia and another fine man whose title is the head of arts and crafts in China. I have never met so many talented and nice people in my whole life time as I met in those few weeks. Each one of the art students were Masters in at least 5 areas of the arts and their average age was 23. It was a year to remember. I made allot of new friends.

Yes...this is the same glaze again . Where I carved it I wiped it down with a wet sponge, that is the lighter brownish area and the thicker glaze turned blue.

Do I keep you entertained with my new pieces ? I try ! But I am getting tired of making so many, I think I will do my prose poetry for a few days or something else ;until I can get a chance to make more unique pieces.

Milo, your pottery is beautiful and its great you are sharing your work with us. I don't think its possible to keep up new stuff to your watchers constantly. You are not a machine! Have a break and renew the pottery energy. You seem to be a man of many talents, share that. I'm not a poetry kind of person but I do enjoy you and your wifes work with the clay, but I certainly don't expect a constant flow of it. Bit like my textile pieces, they take an age to make and I can't do many. So its nice to have my photography in between on DA.

That is why I took pictures of my son today. I got one of my duck pictures on the front page of our newspaper today and I can't wait to get my motorcycle up and going soon. It was quite nice out today.
