The figure is the work of Sixus 1, who does amazing work. This is an older set, so I wanted to see what I could do with materials to put a new coat of paint on this beast. There is a new version out, but I like to collect older sets and try my hand at icky and scary materials.
I also added 'man parts' to this creature by grafting them on and using the original texture as a donor, just to gender-fy the monster as a challenge. You can see the slit they retract into on his stomach way at the very bottom. I will probably never use them, but I like grafting horns, ridges, and other odd bits to monsters and making them look like they are a part of the original mesh. It adds to the overall creepiness and 'realism' - and is a fun bit of hobbyist touch up.

Thanks. I have some custom postwork layers on here too plus DoF and it looks like one of those hyper-real atmosphere and lighting presets out of a game like Skyrim, which thrills me to no end. I was shooting for a classic Alien look to this, but instead of that translucent look I got this 'insect under a HDR microscope' look which is equally terrifying.
I also nailed that 'dry-shiny' and cracked look on top of his head with the materials, and that is just beautiful. I need to do more of these, they are fun.
